Explore the Last Frontier like a true Alaskan.

Owned and operated by Alaskan natives Kirsten and Carl Dixon, Tutka Bay has been a source of wonder and adventure since the day its doors opened. The glorious adventure lodge is situated on a 9-mile flord near the historic Herring Islands and the village of Seldovia along the diverse and unique Kachemak Bay. A private sand cove is ringed by ancient rocks that hold archaeological secrets from the past. Hand-crafted cabins face towards Tutka Bay fjord to the east and offer views of Little Tutka Bay to the west. An adjacent private two-mile hiking trail is located nearby for guest use. Vistors can take an afternoon stroll along a sheltered cove and a peek off of the dock at low tide presents the opportunity to see sunstars, anemones, jellyfish and other sea creatures.

The Within the Wild family offers a wide range of adventures from sea-kayaking near whales and otters in the Pacific Ocean to glacier trekking and deep sea fishing. Fly by Cessna-206 to a remote beach location to watch coastal brown bears graze along the shoreline and in sedge grass fields. Guests can launch from the deck for adventures within the region and neighboring communities by kayak, boat, or plane, or simply drink in the views of Broken Knife peak and Grace Ridge, a perfect junction of mountain and sea. With its rich ocean environment and breathtaking views, Tutka Bay is the ideal place to find your inner-explorer in America's last frontier.
