Escape to a tropical paradise in the heart of Costa Rica's coffee country.

In the hills above bustling San José, amid bright bromeliads and trees festooned with epiphytes, Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation and Inn, a Leader Member of Regenerative Resorts, is a welcome retreat where art and nature meet haute cuisine. Around every corner there is a whimsy or wonder that is uniquely Costa Rican: a mural of tropical blooms, or a waterfall tumbling amid lush vegetation, a cacophony of birdsong, an incredible cup of coffee. Exploring the grounds is like visiting an outdoor museum, where everything down to the recycling bins is a work of art. But the goosebump-inducing moments happen at the acclaimed bar and restaurant, set on terraces with breath-catching views of the volcano-ringed Valle Central. It is here that renowned chef Maria Cordero dishes up exquisite fare that will take you beyond your wildest Costa Rican culinary dreams.

Dine on world-class Latin-fusion cuisine with incredible views of the Valley below and the surrounding volcanoes and post up at the kitchen counter for a tasting menu with wine pairings. Stroll among fruit trees at the shade-grown organic coffee farm and learn how beans are processed on site with a coffee expert and naturalist; then enjoy a "cupping," or coffee tasting. Enjoy a soak in the hot tub or under the pool waterfall, taking in the tropical tranquility of the lush gardens. Happen upon art at every turn, from whimsical sculptures and colorful murals to traditional crafts and textiles. Indulge in a coffee and chocolate scrub—or a host of other spa treatments—at the on-site wellness retreat.
