Regenerative Resorts is excited to welcome five new luxury hotels, including the first ever Italian property as the collective continues to expand.

Oasy Hotel immerses guests in the beauty of a WWF affiliated nature reserve nestled on the slopes of the Apennine Mountains, the pulse of Tuscan wildlife. Try your hand at cheese making, explore the biodiverse woodlands by foot, electric bike or horse, or unwind in the serenity of natural luxury. Bask in the sun at Costa Rica’s leading regenerative tourism property Finca Rosa Blanca, complete with an organic coffee farm for the ultimate wake-up call to adventure. Embrace captivating wilderness with Fogo Island Inn, a remarkable haven of luxury looking out across the wild Atlantic ocean. Or, opt for a trip closer to home on the breathtaking Wyoming landscape with Bentwood Inn, or experience the vastness of a Colorado working bison and cattle ranch bordering the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, with Ranchland’s Zapata Ranch.

Regenerative Travel has handpicked these hotels based on their commitment and work towards supporting local environments and communities with regenerative principles. On the horizon of luxury travel emerges a travel for good ethos – a regenerative relationship with the environment and culture that these new member hotels embody.

Oasy Hotel, Tuscany, Italy

Against mountainous silhouettes and biodiverse woodland, Oasy Hotel soars 1,100 meters above sea level into unparalleled fresh air. In 2006, a Tuscany WWF project led a remarkable transformation from hunting reserve to nature reserve, resulting in the Oasi Dynamo (or Dynamo Oasis) where Oasy Hotel is nestled. Partnering with WWF Oasi Italia, the Oasi Project conserves the environment through agriculture, breeding and scientific research. The Oasi community stewards stories of traditional and local whilst innovating the Apennine area with a regenerative approach. Oasi Dynamo farm provides organic towels and soap for the hotel, in addition to local dairy and produce supplying the restaurants.

Effortlessly lending itself to wellness, the majesty of the landscape inspires serenity, aided by yoga, meditation and a wellness treatment area available soon. A luxurious natural sanctuary, Oasy Hotel lodges exist in harmony with their surroundings as guest activities offer exclusive explorations into the Oasy’s heart. Following the spontaneous return of wolves to the area, guests can accompany a ranger to follow animal trails and catch glimpses of deer and fox, too. Horseback riding, kayaking, hiking or complimentary electronic biking guides guests through wild trails to witness enchanting woodland. Guests are further invited to challenge themselves and seek wilderness with orienteering, or turn their hand to ricotta cheese making and experience the authentic essence of Italian culture.

Fogo Island Inn, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada

Award winning innovation at its heart, social business Fogo Island Inn pioneers regeneration in modern luxury. Creator of the Economic Nutrition Label, guests are invited to track every dollar the resort uses with 100% of operating surpluses reinvested into the community of Fogo Island, Newfoundland. Standing tall on ancient geology, rooms offer unrivalled views of nature’s drama with floor to ceiling windows, whilst the iconic Dining Room sweeps guests into the wild current of captivating ocean life. Fogo Island Inn continues to pursue initiatives as part of their New Ocean Ethic. Further featuring a sauna and hot tubs, library, cinema, art gallery and a host of seasonal activities from boat building, to snowmobiling and ice skating, to iceberg watching and exclusive marine encounters.

Zapata Ranch, Ranchlands, Colorado, USA

Wild west adventures get a regenerative upgrade at Zapata Ranch, a working cattle and bison ranch home to a 2,000-strong conservation herd of wild bison. Owned by The Nature Conservancy, the resort welcomes guests on ranch projects – ideal for those eager to immersively experience day-to-day life between the Rocky Mountains and biodiverse grasslands. Horseback riding is a guest favourite, with more adventurous activities of whitewater rafting and rock climbing on offer whilst hiking, ecological tours of the ranch, fly fishing and massages are perfect for more relaxed days. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the accommodation was originally built in the 1800s as a homestead, now serving effortlessly elegant decor and organic, local gourmet cuisine.
