June 8th, 2022 marks World Oceans Day, with the month of June dedicated to honoring and celebrating our world’s oceans. To pay homage to and help protect the great life forces that our oceans represent, we’ve put together a round up of events and initiatives happening around the world. World Oceans Month Virtual Convening: Regenerating Our Ocean & Coastal Communities Through Tourism

UN Ocean Conference – Lisbon, Portugal

June 23rd,-July 1st, 2022

Global thought leaders will unite at this year’s United Nations Ocean Conference, hosted by the governments of Kenya and Portugal. The conference plans to propel important science-based, innovative solutions and mark a new chapter of global ocean action. National Maritime Museum – London, United Kingdom

June 11th, 2022 – 10 AM-4 PM BST

This staple London museum will be holding a special World Oceans Day celebration event. The day will include workshops, expert-led talks, artist showcases, film screenings, music and the unveiling of the museum’s newest gallery, ‘Poles Apart’. All of these family-friendly activities are open to every museum visitor and will take place on June 11th. Book tickets here.


The Big Paddle Cleanup – United Kingdom

June 4th-12th, 2022

British Canoeing is organizing this nationwide event to help clean up blue spaces and ensure that everyone can enjoy the benefits of being out on the water.
